According to the Wall Street Journal, many e-commerce companies are seeing a HUGE boost (in just last the few months) in referral traffic from Pinterest.
And that includes our favorite craft marketplace platform of all time:
Beyond those that cater to the betrothed, certain types of retailers seem to perhaps share a similarly crafty aesthetic with Pinterest’s core audience. Take Pottery Barn, which pulls in 46.7% of its social referral traffic from Pinterest. Or Etsy, which earns close to 40%.
What makes this even more surprising, as the article lays out, is that for the top 10K retailers they still derive just 4% of their traffic social media.
